Colline couldn’t turn away from all of the homeless dogs in his hometown of Mitanya, Uganda, so he set about to feed them and provide what shelter he could. In the beginning, some land was rented but the landlord soon wanted to use it for other purposes. Colline found a plot of land suitable for a permenent shelter and you all helped raise the $5,000 needed to buy it; the land was officially acquired last month. In the meantime, a generous donor has sent funds to purchase supplies to begin the fence for the shelter, but $3,500 (plus fees) is needed to complete it. The dogs must be kept safe until the shelter building can be constructed. They have now come to depend on Colline for food and safety—please help him keep them off the streets and out of danger!
