Hello, dear reader. I am Paulina Amazan, the heart and soul behind the upcoming trucking company, A & G Freight Logistics, rooted in the heart of San Francisco, CA. This venture isn't just my brainchild it's a shared dream I've built hand in hand with my life partner, who stands beside me not only in our personal journey but in our shared ambition to serve our community through trucking.
The inception of our vision emerged from the somber days of the COVID-19 pandemic. I often reflect on the stark memories of those days, when the simple act of buying basic necessities like toilet paper became a challenge. But we've traversed that tough path, and today, we stand stronger and more united than ever. The trucking community, like a beacon in those stormy times, delivered from life-saving vaccines to the everyday essentials.
Prior to this, my world was defined by the rhythms of bartending and the energy of being a go-go dancer. Social gatherings weren't just a source of joy, they were my livelihood. Yet, with the onset of COVID, like many, I found myself at a crossroads. The stories of people's hardships, coupled with the vital role of trucking in binding our communities, guided us towards our newfound passion.
Driven by this newfound direction, we delved deep, researching every aspect of the trucking industry. And as if the stars aligned, with a blend of providence and determination, we were embraced by the city of San Francisco's Office of Economic and Workforce Development and the Renaissance Entrepreneurship Center. These associations propelled us into a transformative 14-week business accelerator program. This journey wasn't just about securing a seed grant but about equipping ourselves with invaluable knowledge. The learning, the connections, the mentorship, they were our real treasures, guiding us in our quest to build A & G Freight Logistics.
I understand that times are still tough, that the echoes of the pandemic linger. Yet, I stand here, heart in hand, asking for your belief and support. Possessing our equipment would be a monumental leap towards our goals, helping us trim our operational costs and concentrate on serving communities when they need it the most. Our business isn't merely a commercial endeavor, it's a manifestation of our passion, a pledge to our community, and our commitment to strengthening the fabric of our nation. We are here for the long haul, prepared to give everything, for this dream isn't just about us. It's about playing our part in the grander scheme, for the betterment of all.
