My Name is Eden, I am a 24 year old
Trans-nonbinary (he/they pronouns) and this campaign is to help raise
funds for my top surgery. Im working as much as I can to try and
save up for the surgery myself but it’s very difficult with the cost
of living, medications and the fact I’m wanting to start
Testosterone which isnt cheap, making it very hard so save any of
what I’m earning from work to even make a start on my top surgery goal.
Ever since my boobs starting to grow in, I always disliked them.
There was just something about them that I hated. As I grew older and
older Looking at them displeased and upset me, and I feel
uncomfortable with a sense of dread whenever they’re touched. At
first, I didn’t know what it meant, because I was so young, I had no
idea what transgender was or what it meant. But as I got older and
became more free to express myself and find who I truly am, I finally
discovered why I disliked my boobs so much. They don’t belong on my
body. They don’t fit me, they don’t fit who I am or who I’m meant to
be.
Everyday I have to look at myself in the mirror and hate
what I see. I’ll admit, there are a few things about my body that I
don’t like but they’re all easily fixable. But then I look up and just
see two fat sacks clinging to my chest, just hanging their like they
own the place and I get so angry and just wanna rip them off. But I
can’t unfortunately. They’re stuck to me for what feels like is gonna
be forever. Which is why I made this fund raiser, to hopefully change that.
I started binding around October 2022, which isn’t that long ago but
I’m already noticing problems since doing this. My back is constantly
in pain, after a while of wearing it my ribs hurt to the point I feel
sick and I get light head if I try to take too big of a breath. I want
to bind every single day so I can have that flat chest appearance but
I just can’t keep it up. My breaks in between binding are becoming
longer and longer and the binder is only becoming more painful to
wear. I don’t want to have to bind for the rest of my life! Having
this surgery, will mean my chest will be free!
The surgery clinic I have booked with is in Istanbul! My quote
for my surgery is £4500, my surgery is happening on the 6th May 2024!!
the flights and hotel cost will probably add up to at least
another 2k ish)
