Sweet baby Brisket was brought into my clinic from a bad situation. She was mostly feral, much smaller than the rest of her litter, and had a rectal prolapse from having diarrhea. After a small surgery, she recovered well and came home to live with me. I couldn’t help but fall in love with this little fighter.

She adjusted well to living with my other cats, and seemed to be doing well until she stopped eating, started losing weight, and became lethargic. Her brother, who came in with her and was also prolapsed, passed away after similar symptoms and the doctors gave me the bad new, he likely had FIP. 

FIP - Feline Infectious Peritonitis - is a terrible disease. I’ve lost a cat to it before, my precious Bucky. Back then it was a death sentence and I watched him waste away, keeping him comfortable and loved until it was his time. Thankfully for baby Brisket, there is hope!

A drug is currently being studied to treat FIP and it has a 90% success rate, helping cats all over the world beat the disease. It’s not easy to get and is expensive, which is why I’m asking you to help me save little Brisket. 

In addition to the drug, she needs steroids, pain medication, vitamin injections, anti-nausea injections and daily fluid therapy to keep her going while she’s not eating. She will also need regular bloodwork and monitoring by her doctors.
