On September 27th, Tyson Leonard parked his car in a hotel parking garage in Half Moon Bay, CA. He was there to record a friend's band. In the early hours of the morning, his car was burglarized. The thieves stole much of the equipment in his car, including his beloved violin that he's been playing for 25 years.
At the beginning of the COVID lockdown, Tyson lost all his touring work for the foreseeable future. As he navigated a way through his sudden income loss, he started doing studio work to make money. He also had to make financial sacrifices, which forced him to evaluate every expense and tighten every belt. Ultimately, he felt he had to cut his renter's insurance expense, which could have covered this loss.
Now, Tyson's livelihood is based on studio work, but he can't manage this work without the equipment stolen from his car. Tyson understands that almost everyone is feeling a financial strain at this time, and truly appreciates any donation to help him replace his stolen gear.
