Introduction

PingChat Messenger, an effective Instant messaging app packed with a plethora of features starting from simple texting to sharing locations and making cool voice and video calls. This mobile chat application is the first messenger application developed by Malaysian developer in late 2017. A test prototype by the name of Hashtag Mobile Chat Messenger  was created and it can be found on Google Play Store.

A handful of positive public reviews had been received and the latest release prototype had been launched on 10 July 2018 which it can be downloaded for free at https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=biz.hashtag.chat&hl=en.

Through our prototype we have discovered that there are a number of issues which needs to be attended immediately and there are also a number of developments as well as features in the app yet to be released as we have fall short in funding.

Some of your most personal moments are shared on PingChat Messenger, which is why we built end-to-end encryption into the latest versions of our app. When end-to-end encrypted, your messages and calls are secured so only you and the person you're communicating with can read or listen to them, and nobody in between, not even PingChat Messenger’s staff.

Send images on PingChat Messenger instantly. You can even capture the moments that matter to you most with a built-in camera. With PingChat Messenger, images are send quickly even if you're on a slow connection.

File Sharing

Send PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, slideshows and more, without the hassle of email or file sharing apps. You can send documents up to 100 MB, so it's easy to get what you need over to who you want.

Video and Music Sharing

Send media files on PingChat Messenger instantly like video clips or mp3. With PingChat Messenger media files are send quickly even if you're on a slow connection.

Location Sharing

Share a location on PingChat Messenger instantly using google map to tell your friends how to locate you or simply share a location of a nice place where you have been with your friends.

With voice calls, you can talk to your friends and family for free*, even if they're in another country.

Video Call

Purpose of funding

The aim of this fund rising is to further improve the app capabilities and include new unique features that will give users a better chatting experience and to keep this app free from advertisements.

Used of funding

• To further improve app functions and developing of new features
• Further development of the chat server API
• Bug fixing
• To upgrade current server hardware, housing everything under a standalone platform without having to depend on third-party platform. This will significantly reduce certain laggyness of the app and make the app run faster.
• Upgrade various hardware and devices needed for the development. Example load balancer, commercial firewall, etc.
• Extending current server bandwidth to enable larger and smoother chatting experience
• Marketing

Objective and what we want to achieve

Our main priority in our development is online security as well as user’s privacy. We want to ensure a safe and secure environment for all our users and most importantly we want to keep this app free for all users and we want to keep it free of advertisements.

PingChat Messenger is a potential mobile app in mobile networking and we will like to make it happen.
