Those of you who know Alora, know that she has had trouble gaining weight her whole life. A year ago we finally found out the reason. Alora has gastroparesis, also known as delayed gastric motility. Over the last year we have tried all of the medication available for this condition but none of them helped and several caused adverse reactions. She is now 3 and half and is not yet 20 lbs. She needs to get to a Pediatric Gastric Motility Specialist in Atlanta to find out why. We plan to drive and will stay with friends and family, but we will need money for medical expenses, gas and food. We don't know how many trips yet, nor what medical expenses we will have to cover out of pocket. This is our jumpimg off point for this adventure.
We have tried all the medicines that the doctors in Denver have to offer and the specialty clinic there is not taking new appointments for more than 6 months. A dear family friend got us in to see the Specialist in Atlanta this summer. With prayers, luck and your help Alora could be gaining real weight and living without pain and nausea by the time we could get an appointment in Denver.
