Some of you may be lucky enough to have an Aunt like Aunt Margie. If you do, you know that she is the glue to any family. She is the lady who plans the children's Christmas play every year, who knows just how to bring any kid from a cry to giggle in 30 seonds flat, who plans the family get together then calls each and every one of them to ensure that EVERYBODY will be showing, she is the one who calls you when you are down and it is her light that makes you feel like the world is better than just okay. She is not just an Aunt, of course, she is a Mother, a Grandmother, a Wife, a Sister and a Best Friend to many others. While she feels most comfortable planning the benefit for others, it is her now that needs help. Aunt Margie was diagnosed with Lewis Sumners Syndrome almost two years ago and the disease has moved an active, vibrant lady into a wheelchair then ER and Rehab several times throughout the past year. While she loses movement in her legs, arms and now face... the cost to treat the symptoms of this treatable disease continues to skyrocket with each new symptom. As a lifetime hair stylist and small business owner, Aunt Margie, has not lived a life of rich monetary reward. She has never let that effect the smile on her face or her relationship with her family, friends and clients. After her diagnosis, she continued to style hair for as long as she had movement but she does no longer. Some Bad Timing... This economy has rocked her family just the same as it has many others and they can no longer afford the treatment of her symptoms and the handicapp alterations needed to bring her back home where she belongs amongst family.
