My name is Dwayne, and I am a 26 year old father raising my 2 year old son. The photo on this campaign is from when he was just an infant a reminder of where our journey began and how dedicated I have been to being in his life every single day.
My son is a resilient, bright, and sweet little boy, but he faces unique daily health challenges. Because of early medical complications, he experiences developmental delays and has difficulty eating, which requires him to rely on an Infinity feeding pump for his daily nutrition and care. Ensuring he gets the attention, therapy, and medical care he needs is my highest priority.
Why I Am Raising Funds
Navigating the legal system as a young father to secure my parental rights, establish proper custody arrangements, and ensure a stable environment for my son has proven to be an overwhelming financial challenge. The legal process has extended far longer than anticipated, and retaining experienced legal representation is critical to ensuring my son's best interests are properly represented in court.
To date, my mounting legal fees have reached a point where I can no longer handle them alone. I am raising $50,000 to cover the ongoing attorney fees and court costs required to see this legal process through to the end. Every dollar raised will go directly toward my legal defense fund so I can continue fighting to provide my son with a secure, loving, and permanent home environment.
