Help Felipe Beat Pancreatitis: His Heart Wants to Keep Beating

Hi, my name is Ariana and I am fundraising for my cat Felipe, who is gravely ill. Felipe is a rescue kitty who has been a part of my life and my family for 1 year. We love him deeply and are heartbroken seeing him like this.

Felipe is a fighter, but life has hit him hard recently. Just last November, we managed to overcome a severe case of Mycoplasmosis (Feline Infectious Anemia) together. It was a long process that left us emotionally and financially exhausted, but he pulled through. We thought the worst was over, but unfortunately, he is now facing something even more painful.

The Current Emergency

A few days ago, Felipe took a drastic turn for the worse. He started suffering from diarrhea and was vomiting any food he consumed, to the point where his stomach wouldn't even accept water. After rushing to the ER and performing a comprehensive abdominal ultrasound and blood work (CBC and Biochemistry), the diagnosis was devastating:

• Feline Pancreatitis (Inflammation of the pancreas, with elevated fPL levels of 4.89 ug/L).
• Severe Gastritis (Inflamed stomach lining).
• Enteropathy and Colitis (Inflammation of the intestines and colon).

The Treatment Keeping Him Alive

His condition is delicate. The pain and nausea prevent him from eating on his own, so he requires daily medical support to prevent organ failure. Currently, his life depends on this cocktail of medications:

• Daily Injections (IV): Omeprazole (gastric protector), Metamizole (for intense pain), and Metronidazole (antibiotic and anti-inflammatory).
• Oral Care: Sucralfate every 8 hours to protect his ulcers.
• Clinical Nutrition: Strict diet with Hill's i/d (Digestive Care) prescription food.

Why I Am Asking for Help?

Unfortunately, the treatment and diagnostics are very expensive, and my own resources barely cover half due to the recent expenses from his previous illness.

I am fully aware that these are difficult times for everyone. However, I couldn't bear the idea of letting Felipe fade away or suffer in pain when I know that, with help, he can be saved. I firmly believe that if we can alleviate the suffering of an innocent being, even when the road is hard, it matters.

I am asking for urgent help to cover the cost of his injections and medicated food for the coming days. Any amount (or even the simple act of sharing this) means much more than I can express in words.

Hola, me llamo Ariana y estoy recaudando fondos para mi gato Felipe, que está gravemente enfermo. Felipe es un gatito adoptado que ha sido parte de mi vida y de mi familia por 1 año. Lo queremos muchísimo y estamos angustiados por verlo así.

Felipe es fuerte, pero la vida lo ha golpeado duro últimamente. Apenas en noviembre del año pasado, logramos superar juntos un cuadro grave de Micoplasmosis (Anemia Felina Infecciosa). Fue un proceso largo que nos dejó agotados emocional y económicamente, pero él salió adelante. Pensamos que lo peor había pasado, pero lamentablemente, ahora enfrenta algo aún más doloroso.

La Emergencia Actual de Felipe

Hace unos días, Felipe decayó drásticamente. Empezó con diarreas y vomitaba cualquier alimento que consumiera, al punto de que su estómago no aceptaba ni el agua. Tras correr a emergencias, realizarle una ecografía abdominal completa y exámenes de sangre (Hemograma y Bioquímico), el diagnóstico fue contundente:

• Pancreatitis Felina (Inflamación del páncreas, con valores fPL elevados de 4.89 ug/L).
• Gastritis severa (Pared estomacal inflamada).
• Enteropatía y Colitis (Inflamación de intestinos y colon).

El Tratamiento 

Su estado es delicado. El dolor y las náuseas le impiden comer por sí mismo, por lo que requiere soporte médico diario para evitar que sus órganos colapsen. Actualmente, su vida depende de este cóctel de medicamentos:

• Inyectables diarios (EV): Omeprazol (protector gástrico), Biovalgina (para el dolor intenso) y Metronidazol (antibiótico y antiinflamatorio).
• Manejo oral: Sucralfato cada 8 horas para proteger sus úlceras.
• Nutrición Clínica: Alimentación estricta con latas Hill's i/d (Digestive Care).

¿Por qué pido ayuda?

lamentablemente, el tratamiento y el diagnóstico son muy costosos y mis propios recursos apenas cubren la mitad debido a los gastos recientes de su enfermedad anterior.

Soy plenamente consciente de que son tiempos difíciles para todos. Pero tampoco podía soportar la idea de dejar que Felipe se apague o sufra dolor cuando sé que, con ayuda, puede salvarse. Creo firmemente que si podemos aliviar el sufrimiento de un ser inocente, incluso cuando el camino es duro, importa.

Solicito ayuda urgente para costear sus inyecciones y latas medicadas de los próximos días. Cualquier cantidad (o incluso el simple hecho de compartir esto) significa mucho más de lo que puedo expresar con palabras.
