After a month in Georgia's Dekalb County Jail, Priscilla has returned home to Brooklyn!
On March 5th, Priscilla was among 30 people arrested in Atlanta while attending a music festival in the Weelaunee Forest during the Stop Cop City week of action. Despite the lack of evidence against her, she was denied bond twice and locked up for more than a month in Dekalb County Jail. Multiple human rights organizations have denounced the arrests as illegal.
She is presently spending time returning to her day-to-day life while dealing with serious physical manifestations of PTSD. As she can, she is still devoted to advocating for radical change. This week she appeared on the Indypendent News Hour on WBAI.
Priscilla is a mother, a dedicated caretaker for her elderly family, and a beloved member of our community. As an orgainzer in movements for social, racial, and economic justice, for more than 15 years Priscilla has enriched the lives of many people and inspired countless others in the pages of the Occupied Wall Street Journal. But right now, facing a long legal battle ahead, she still needs our support!
