I turn the grand old age of 60 on the 31st of August. The best birthday present would be if I can raise some extra funds to help the stray cats of Bosnia.  I'm hoping to raise 600 euros, but hey, 6000 euros would be even better! 

My group, Animal Welfare Advocates for Bosnia, supports a number of rescuers who save cats - either by rescuing them when they are injured or ill-treated, feeding them or sterilising them - or all of these. I'd love to be able to send some money to help, because as most of you know, although I love all animals, my special love is for cats. And, cats in need get far less attention than dogs in need, so I'd like to focus on them.

If we can raise 600 euros plus paypal/Fundrazr fees - or more, hopefully, that would be amazing. I'll divide the funds amongst those we support. I know of one cat that has a vet bill of 500 euros, so many that need sterilisation (countless numbers), and it costs around 25 - 30 euros per cat to do this. Not to mention flea and worm treatment and there are rescuers with debts going back months to keep their rescues safe until they find homes for them. So I do hope we can raise more than 600, but 600 would be so great and a fabulous birthday present.
