My name is Michael Thielmann and I am a social worker and addiction counsellor living on Vancouver Island. It is my passion to help others overcome the issues they face in their lives. Many people I have worked with are not native English speakers which has made communication all the more difficult, to say the least.

I began to realize the value of communication and the difficulties that arise when people try to connect but do not speak the same language. English is becoming something of a universal language in the world and many people are trying to learn it but struggle with certain aspects of it.

I am looking to take an online ESL course that includes a practicum. I am looking to raise $1000.00 CDN for the tuition fee to supplement what I have saved already. I have always loved exploring the nuances of the English language, and I aspire to help people learn what I often take for granted. Thank you in advance for helping me realize this dream.
