Don't really no where to start as I'd like to do this for everyone of the lads that I was out there with that died, but this is the one incident I was involved in which sticks with me the most as I'm sure many of the other lads have there own personal greivences with experiences I was not involved in, I've set this up for myself and Danny to see if there is any body willing to give something back for him, Danny lost two legs an arm and a eye in southern Afghanistan (babaji) when he was hit by an improvised explosive device meant for a quad bike on the way to 're supply a checkpoint severely in need of ammunition and water deep into enemy territory,my other friend which I shall not name sadly died of the impact on scene which both me and other colleagues administered first aid to try to save both their lives. Along with this incident 10 others from the 8 month tour also sadly lost there lives. Danny has recovered dramastically and is now on his prosthetic legs but I don't think he really knows how much I still think about that day in my everyday life and I don't think personally I have done enough,since leaving the army I have been diagnosed with ptsd as so has Danny and many other hero's, I have reoccurring nightmares of the helplessness of him that day and re-play in my mind as to what I could of done differently, so I can only take my hat of as to how he has dealt with this himself.I can actually remember him asking myself after administering morphine weather or not he still had his "wedding tackle" which just shows you as to what kind of lad he is, I don't really no what to expect from this as it is kind of off the cough but hopefully you could read the story and maybe relate yourselves, I know Danny has always wanted to try skiing but obviously state of the art legs which are not provided by the nhs and overall costs are in the thousands So you guys would be so much help and i know not many of the lads do not keep in touch anymore as everybody is dealing with things in there own way, so maybe you could help me help him, thanks for reading I appreciate it and it means alot, REST IN PEACE BROTHERS GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN X X (check out my two links and video thankyou)
