Help Jermaine Keep His Daughter in the USA!
As many of you know my family welcomed the newest member of our family on September 3, 2012 at 11:07pm. My cousin / little brother had his first child, a beautiful baby girl named Matisse. Those close to me know that Jermaine is an amazing individual with one of the purest hearts. Even before the birth of his daughter he has been an amazing father willing to do anything and everything he can to ensure that his baby girl has the life she deserves. Our family is overjoyed with our newest little Mendoza. However, there is a court hearing coming up to decide whether or not her mother, an American citizen, should be allowed to migrate out of the country and live and raise Matisse in Australia where none of her biological family resides. It has been heart wrenching for us all to see such a dedicated father with his rights in jeopardy. This is a man who works harder than anyone I have ever known to be able to provide for his child. A man who drives over four hours every other weekend to visit his baby for a minimal 8 hours a month. Many people would have given up by now but the love my brother has for his daughter is priceless, and as her family we feel the same way! He has not missed a visit, a child support payment, or a health insurance payment and although the hard work and travel is hard, he has remained positive and kept his faith in God that it will all work out. I have never once heard him complain and that is a true exhibit of unconditional love.
I have created this page because many of you know that court fees can become overwhelming! The final custody hearing is in May and we need to raise $3,500 to have an expert child development specialist speak on Jermaine's behalf on how separating a child and raising her in a country foreign to her heritage and away from her family can negatively impact development. In no way are we suggesting that she should be taken away from her mother, we just feel that it is in the best interest of the child for her to be raised in the states with both her mother and her father.
We appreciate any help you are willing to give. Every dollar can help! Please find it in your hearts to help protect and support the rights of a loving and devoted father by helping us raise the money to continue to fight to keep this precious baby in the states with her family.

Hello Friends and family. As many of you know, I am currently going through an ugly custody battle. My daughter has just turned 7months old, and her mother is attempting to gain full custody so that she might be able to take my daughter to Australia permanently. I have had to deal with an extremely ridiculous visitation schedule. After agreeing to pay over $450 a month in child support and $230 a month for the baby's medical, I am currently only aloud to see her a total of 8 hours a week. As May approaches, we face another court hearing. My Attorney has requested the assistance of a Professional Child Psychologist/ Social Worker, who will testify on my behalf the facts on the developmental problems taking me daughter away to another country. Unfortunately nothing in life is free. I am expected to come up with $3,500 before May to pay for these services. I am reaching out to you all for your help. Any amount you can spare will be greatly appreciated.
My daughter's mother has done everything from claiming that I am mentally unstable, to requesting that the courts perform a social study. Which resulted in a disturbing conclusion. Although I have no criminal history, no history of physical violence, or psychological illness, the person performing the social study concluded the study stating that she sees no problem allowing my ex to take my daughter away from me. I am a hard working man, and an deeply loving/caring father. Please help me if you can. Spread the word to anyone who I didn't add as a recipient of this email. I am trying to keep this issue out of the general publics eye because of my profession as an instructor.
