I opened 777 Coffee Cart at 31 weeks pregnant, not knowing what to expect or how much this little business would change my life.

What started as an idea and a dream quickly turned into something I never imagined. The amount of love and support we’ve received since opening has meant more to me than I can put into words. From our regulars who show up every week to the people who have shared our business with friends and family, you’ve all played such a big part in getting us to where we are today.

Recently, we unexpectedly lost the spot we’ve called home since opening. It was honestly heartbreaking, especially after putting so much time, money, and energy into building something I love so much.

Since having my son, I’ve also realized just how difficult running a coffee cart can be. Between loading everything up, transporting equipment, setting up, breaking everything down, and doing it all over again for the next event, it’s exhausting. Trying to balance all of that while being a new mom and running a business has been a lot.

But giving up on 777 has never been an option for me.

Our next goal is to purchase a coffee trailer that will give us a consistent home in the Charlotte area while still allowing us to attend events, pop-ups, and collaborations. We’re also hoping to open a brick-and-mortar location soon in the NoDa area, where this whole journey started.

The trailer would be such a huge step for us. Not only would it make everyday operations easier, but it would give our team more stability and allow us to keep doing what we love without having to start from scratch every single day.
