I am a published author, motivational advocate, and entrepreneur committed to empowering women and men through literacy, affirmations, creative writing, and emotional healing. Through my published work, It's Mahogany Muse Little Book of Positive Affirmations and Motivational Quotes, I have inspired individuals to rediscover hope, confidence, purpose, and self-worth.
For this project, I am seeking $30,000 in funding to launch and expand the Empowerment Through Writing & Healing Initiative, a community outreach and publishing program designed to provide motivational resources, therapeutic writing opportunities, and inspirational speaking engagements to underserved populations. The initiative will specifically support individuals residing in homeless shelters, transitional homes, domestic violence shelters, and facilities assisting people experiencing depression, trauma, self-harm, and emotional hardship.
Funding will be used to:
Print and distribute signed motivational books
Produce journals, writing notebooks, pens, and empowerment merchandise
Conduct speaking engagements and writing workshops
Support outreach events and community partnerships
Build a sustainable empowerment-centered business model
Expand online
This initiative aims to serve hundreds of individuals annually, while building stronger, more confident, and functional community that at one time did not feel their success was possible. Building community partnerships, workshops, speaking engagements, and creating a safe space for positive reinforcement, and healing.
