Regrettably, after a prolonged struggle with substance abuse, the structural integrity of my teeth has deteriorated significantly. In the last four years, I have lost more than fifty percent of my dental structure. The reflection I see in the mirror no longer represents the individual I know I am internally.

The loss of my teeth has adversely affected more than just my aesthetics. My self-esteem has reached a critical low, and the resultant isolation has been considerable. Additionally, I am unable to enjoy many of the foods I once relished—such as crispy snacks, nuts, or other crunchy items—due to the pain and difficulty associated with mastication. Even simple dietary intakes now invoke frustration and limitation.

The most challenging aspect is that I have undertaken substantial efforts to rehabilitate my life. I am currently committed to a recovery program. I have fought to regain my health, presence, and optimism; however, the condition of my smile remains one of the last barriers preventing me from progressing fully.
