My name is Majda, and I am fundraising for my cousin Bara’a, who is only 18 years old and currently in a coma.

Bara’a was shot in the head in Lebanon, suffering a severe traumatic brain injury. The gunshot caused skull fractures, bleeding in the brain, and damage to the temporal lobe. Although he survived the initial injury, his condition has been critical and life-altering.

Since the injury, Bara’a has experienced repeated and severe seizures, along with serious neurological complications. His condition worsened over time, and he is now unconscious and in a coma. He is currently admitted to a hospital in Syria, where he remains under constant medical care.

At just 18 years old, Bara’a should be living his youth, studying, and dreaming about his future. Instead, he is fighting for his life, while his family watches and prays for him to wake up and heal.

Medical care for brain injuries, seizures, and coma patients is extremely expensive and difficult to sustain. Bara’a urgently needs:

Ongoing hospital and ICU care

Anti-seizure medications

Neurology follow-ups and brain monitoring

Imaging, medications, and supportive treatment

Our family is doing everything possible, but the financial burden has become overwhelming. We are raising funds to help cover hospital costs, medications, medical tests, and essential care, and to give Bara’a the best possible chance at recovery.
