Help Serhii Walk Again: Urgent Urethroplasty for Shrapnel Wounds Survivor
My name is Olga, and I am reaching out to you with a plea to help save my husband, Serhii (35). Our lives changed forever on October 27, 2025, when Serhii suffered devastating injuries from multiple shrapnel wounds during a shelling in Ukraine.
He survived against all odds, but the consequences of the blast have left him with a condition that requires specialized surgical intervention.
Serhii sustained severe blast injuries (MTI), with multiple metal fragments impacting his body. As a result of these injuries, he has developed a severe urethral stricture. This is not just a source of constant pain; it is a critical condition that prevents his body from functioning normally and leads to recurring, dangerous infections.
The Medical Need: Urethroplasty
According to the latest medical report from the "Harmony of Health" clinic (dated Dec 2, 2025), Serhii urgently needs a Urethroplasty (reconstructive surgery of the urethra). This is a complex plastic surgery aimed at restoring the damaged tissue. Without this specific operation, Serhii faces permanent disability and life-threatening complications.
Serhii has already survived the initial trauma and emergency stabilizations, but our family's resources are completely exhausted. The cost of reconstructive urological surgery, specialized materials for the plastic surgery, and the long recovery period is beyond our reach.
