Say Hullo to Eleanor, the absolute best girl I know! She loves her Dad & Mom, and dotes on the family kitties, especially Ed, who is tiny like her 😊 Her favorite thing though is to laugh! If laughter worked the way it does in Mary Poppins, our life would be non-stop tea parties on the ceiling 😅 She's crazy about movies and music, from Marvel and anime, to Muppets and Minions. Eleanor rocks out to classic rock with Dad, and has sing- and dance- alongs to the Laurie Berkner Band with Mom.
Life has given our family plenty of hurdles! Eleanor was diagnosed with Down Syndrome shortly after birth, along with a heart murmur. She spent a lot of time in the hospital before she had open heart surgery at four months old. Her heart was successfully repaired, and now the cardiologist just keeps an eye on her. So does the audiologist, the ENT, the endocrinologist, the dermatologist, the orthopaedist, the dentist, the optometrist, and the neuro-psychologist, because she's also Autistic. There are bad days and good days, ups and downs, but Eleanor remains kind and empathetic!
James, Dad, was diagnosed with leukemia in 2018, which thankfully is under control, but still requires constant monitoring. Helen (me😊), Mom, struggles with multiple chronic physical and mental illnesses, which require their own set of specialists and therapists. And for all of that, we need a car! Which we have, but it isn't functional and it isn't legal, which is where you come in, Dear Reader 😉
⚠️[James has already purchased a replacement starter, which we believe was the beginning of our troubles. Through the magic of YouTube he'll be installing it himself!]⚠️ 《UPDATED》 It turned out, when my friend who's husband is a mechanic, had a look at the car, that the starter was not the problem. There's something wrong with the horn system, either the relay ($) or the switch (💲💲). We'll get the answer to that soon enough . Our friends were able to get the car running, only to discover that during its extended "park" the brake system had given up the ghost. 🤨🙄😮💨
