Hello Everyone!

I am Jemuel Chua, 18 years old, currently studying  Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) at the University of Science and Technology of Southern Philippines (USTP-CDO, a state university). As a freshman student (1st year, 1st semester) and living in the slums of Cagayan De Oro City, Philippines, I constantly find ways to learn, earn, and survive, together with my small family. My mother is currently working at a private company with a wage of Php 400 (approx. $8)  per day, while my father cannot do work because of illness (recovered from colon cancer). My brother works as a freelancer but earns less compared to my mother.

While our university, specifically my course does not require (mandatory) to have a laptop, but it can be hard for every student, especially me, without one to continue the course, especially for making documents, presentations, and the core, which is modeling (2D and 3D).

Our course suggests using AutoCAD for our drafting and modeling, which requires a decent laptop to use (of which I cannot afford alone, even for years). As I searched thoroughly, the software requires a minimum system requirement of:

In my thorough research, the cheapest laptop with specifications fitted above costs at least Php 30,000 ($600). I added a few dollars in case of processing fees or whatever to cover the actual price.

If some of you (one enough) have available, unused, or any laptop that can be donated that has specifications fitted the minimum system requirements, I would wholeheartedly accept it as it would be the first gift I'll receive from someone other than my parents.

Rest assured that, if this (hopefully) will be successful, I'll make sure to improve more my academic performance and bring determination, together with those who helped (in words, in actions, and prayers) to achieve and finish my studies, to engage in real-world, and to meet those who helped me in the future.
