This is Kiwi. He was found 6 years ago, at a wet market in Malaysia, dragging himself using his front legs, looking for food. He saw a dog eating, and went to the dog hoping to share the food. But the dog attacked him. I saw he was being attacked, so I saved him, and brought him home with me.

When I found him, it was during the rugby world cup 2015. I loved The All Blacks and when I found a black cat, of course he will be named after my favorite team, country and people : Kiwi.

In my care, he grows up to be a handsome fat cat. He's still limping sometimes, but only after a rough playing. Like a rugby player, he likes to tackle me and his cat siblings. His body is buff, but still soft. He loves to sleep with me, and will bury his face close to my face. He was a happy, spoilt, loveable cat.

But a few days ago, suddenly he stopped eating, and only lying down. I noticed he was breathing fast, and made a crackling sound. So I brought him to the vet, they did an xray and blood test. The verdict: his lungs has fluid, and his blood test shows he is FIP positive (wet & dry).

FIP is a deadly virus that was caused by a mutation in the feline coronavirus (FCoV) which changes it from a harmless virus into a deadly one. FIP is fatal and most cats with the wet form of the disease die within two months of the onset of signs

There are treatments available, but the drugs are CRAZY expensive. I have exhausted all my savings for Kiwi's diagnosis, and I also need to take care of my other 20 rescued cats with special need. So because of this, I will need to ask for a donation so Kiwi could live longer. The only treatment for FIP is GS-441524 that should be injected daily for 84 days without failure. If the 84 day treatment course not completed, my cat’s FIP will flare up again & all his progress so far will be wasted and will not survive. Kiwi will need at least 60 vials (the vials quantity depends on his weight. Kiwi is 6kg/13.2lbs), which will be around RM23,340 / $5773.66 / €4763.55

Estimation Cost for 84 days:
60 vials of GS-441524 (3.14ml, 8mg/kg) X RM350 = RM21,000
Daily injection x 84 = RM840
Monthly checkup (blood tests, xrays etc)  x 3 = RM1,500 (estimation)

Total= RM 23,340

I am hurt because i just lost my other cat 4 months ago due to asthma attack and my heart just can't cope well knowing Kiwi is living on a borrowed time and I will lose him too. Please save me from this heartache
