I never imagined that one day I would be needing to do a medical fundraiser for myself. It seemed more like something I would do for the poor kids in a distant 3rd world country far removed from my reality. Yet, here I am today humbly asking for help. I was diagnosed with a Rare Immune System Disease. My immune system is basically missing parts and is defective, so I easily contract infections. It has gotten much worse lately where I seem to get some new illness every couple weeks. I am at risk daily of catching one that I may not recover from as my body cannot fight things like a healthy person can. l need to start treatment asap, but cannot afford it. The treatment is a 6 hour IV Blood product transfusion at the hospital every 3 weeks. I am blessed to have insurance Praise God! However, I need this to cover my upfront deductible or the hospital will not start treatment unfortunately. I also need funds to pay for transportation there and back as it is about 50 minutes south of me.The insurance did not approve a closer treatment location and my 2006 car is only good for a 5 mile radius.
