My almost 4-year-old guinea pig, Tusia, recently developed a lump so and I took her to the vet to see what's going on. Although the lump turned out to be a harmless lipoma, the ultrasounds uncovered a dreadful truth - her uterus is enlarged, with a suspicion of pyometra, and her ovaries have cysts. She also has an endometrial hyperplasia. I've enclosed the results (in Polish) of the ultrasaounds at the end of the story.

Right now, Tusia needs an urgent sterilization procedure that will save her life. It's too early for her to cross the Rainbow Bridge, and she has her daughter to live for along with many years of happy wheeks ahead. I love them both to the Moon and back, and I'd give all I have so they could live their lives to the fullest. Unfortunately, financially this is a very difficult time for me. Since my husband was diagnosed with brain tumor and encephalitis and had to stop working, I had to handle everything alone despite my own health problems (diabetes and thyroid tumor). I've been trying to collect money other ways, but I wouldn't be here if I had succeed. This is literally my last resort. :(

$150 is the total cost of a surgery along with the medications that will help the piggy to recover afterwards. For me, $150 is a load of money that unfortunately I don't have in this darkest hour. Me, my piggy Tusia, and her wheeky girl Gwizdek (in English Whistle, 'cause she could break the glass with her tunes!) will be eternally grateful for every bit of help for my little fighter to stay on this side of the Rainbow Bridge for several more years.
