Racist policing techniques aligned with a biased justice system have been tearing apart African-American families for decades. Help the Pippens/Williams family fight to secure freedom for their beloved son and brother, Ronald.

      In August 2015 Ronald was falsely accused of 4 counts of attempted murder, possession of a weapon, and a slew of other charges. His arrest came weeks after others were arrested for the crime, a drive-by shooting, and was based solely on the account of the victim, who was unable to describe Ronald physically. Additional evidence which exonerates Ronald includes: his cell phone's location feature which proves that he was not at the scene of the crime when the incident took place, and the total lack of his DNA in the car involved. 

     Ronald spent nearly 2 years imprisoned at Riker's Island awaiting trial, while his family worked tirelessly to secure a private lawyer for him. Unfortunately, the judge pulled their private lawyer off the case only 6 days prior to the original trial date. Ronald was then provided a court appointed lawyer who had very little time to go over the facts and prepare a defense. As a result, although there is sufficient evidence to prove his innocence, he lost the case and in July will likely be sentenced to a maximum security prison for the rest of his life.

   Now, as Ronald and his family prepare to appeal his case, they need support more than ever. This will be his last opportunity to go in front of a judge and fight for his freedom; quality legal counsel is of the utmost importance.
