Friends of ours contacted us this weekend about their desire to help us purchase a vehicle. They have offered to match donations over the next few weeks, up to $3300 USD. As many of know we have been praying and saving for a family car. During our time so far in Tahiti we have been running errands on foot or by bus, and ministry is quite limited. We are so grateful for this offer and are believing this is the final breakthrough.

Therefore from now until August 15th, we are seeing how close we can get to that amount. If we raise close to $3300 and it gets matched by our friends - we will finally be able to purchase a vehicle! We are looking at purchasing a used mid-sized SUV suitable for family and ministry use.

"Impulse Giving" - just like impulse buying - can be damaging. We know that many of you, our supporters, give very generously already and with limited means. While we would like to take advantage of this special opportunity, we also want everyone to prayerfully consider if you are willing & able to give to this request.

What if I want to give but can not by August 15th? We know many people plan out their giving and spending each month, and we want to honor that. Malia begins school August 18th so we are hoping to raise the money as close to that date as possible. However, our donor friends are giving us freedom with the fundraising deadline.
