Janet Chlentzos-Williams hasn't added a story.
Hi,
My name is Janet Chlentzos-Williams and I'm in a financial crisis and asking for donations. My bank account was recently overdrawn again and my daughter deposited money in my account to avoid overdraft fees and cover my rent payment. Myself and my therapy and companion cat Athena, have recently been ill, myself referred to a specialist and paid out of pocket expenses for office visits and prescriptions for both of us and again had to borrow from Moneytree to cover my bills.
I've been on disability since 2000(diagnosed in 1998 with Fibromyalsia/Chronic Fatigue)and on Medicare since 2002 and recently my secondary insurance in AARP Medicare Complete.I will only go back to the first of the year and was on my treadclimber(I purchased in 2007 for my Fibromyalsia/Chronic Fatigue)to exercise on, and without the proper shoes I injured my foot in 2009 and was referred to a foot specialist and diagnosed with Plantar Fasciitis)and injured my foot again earlier this year without my orthotics my foot specialist recommened I purchase in 2009(not covered by Medicare)and diagnosed with a tendon foot injury by my foot specialist and he referred me to physical therapy which I could only afford one visit since the copay is $40 each visit. I taped my foot myself and overtime it healed and really need donations so I can purchase my orthotics along with new supportive shoes.I have considered selling my treadclimber due to my financial situation, but I worked too hard paying for it ($3,000 including interest)and helps my Fibromyalsia/Chronic Fatigue and would take a loss and wouldn't be worth it.
I noticed along with my daughter and son in the summer, Athena was losing weight and not eating very well, not keeping her food down so I took her to her vet and she ran a series of test. I was able to pay a small amount of the bill and food and my daughter paid for the rest of the bill/medications ($446.00)which totaled over $500. We both agreed she would deduct it from the balance she owed me for watching my Grandaughter, but set me back from paying bills and buying groceries. Athena continued to lose weight and when she ate was unable to keep her food down. We tried different foods but that didn't help so I took her in again in September and she lost more weight and I was becoming more concerned. I took Athena back again and her vet gave her different medication and my son paid for the bill this time and want to pay him back with the donation money. The medication worked and Athena started to eat and keep her food down.I took her in again today for a weight check and she has gained some weight back but want to make sure she gains all her weight back and continues to be healthy.I don't want to depend on my daughter or son to pay my bills since they have their own families and bills to pay and another reason I'm asking for donations.
I have been financially independent since I was a teenager until I went on disability when I was 50 years old in 2000.I'm 63 years old and retirement age and try and lead a tranquil life and enjoy my Grandchildren.I hope to raise enough money to cover my financial losses over the years and if I raise more I will be able to keep my promise to my Grandchildren. I promised them a 2-3 day vacation a few years ago to "Great Wolf Lodge" and Christmas 2011 gave them $10.00 gift cards to spend at the gift shop. Everytime they ask me when we're going, I have to answer when "yaya" can afford it and hope I don't have to disappoint them much longer.
I'm also ready for a 2-3 day vacation since my last vacation was in 1988 when our family went to Disneyland and had a wonderful and memorable time.
Thank you for reading and making a donation and will be very much appreciated.
Janet and Athena
