My name is Eric Hepperle and I had a spiritual awakening this year that changed my life and set me on a new course. I've always rented or lived with roommates, which for me has never been ideal. I just spent the last of my money on a $3000 makeover for my Mom's apartment because she deserves it. I've never really had a home of my own and that is my dream -- To build a sustainable COB HOUSE out of natural materials and finally have a place to call my own!

I've been a decent web-developer for the last 3 years because I love programming and solving problems. But after hitting rock bottom and almost burning myself out on stress over how to survive becuase I was out of work for 6 months, I did something that as a confirmed atheist, you might not expect -- I asked God for help one day out of sheer desperation. That was the day my life changed for ever. I learned that selflessness, generosity, and unconditional love for the whole world and all forms of conciousness was the key to happiness!

I realized with rent rising once again I would once more be in a stress/survival situation of "how am I going to pay rent now?". I prayed for guidance on how I was going to support myself and I believe God told me to start by not living in apartments any more. I have subsequently given my notice and will be homeless September 27th.

Here it is almost 5 months later and I've had so many experiences and been able to witness to others about love for each other and the planet, and I feel very blessed. Please help me continue on my journey of helping the world by funding my education and construction of a natural green cob house! There are some workshops I want to take next summer in Southern Oregon on building with cob. I hope to take the workshops, but a few acres of land, to make my dream come true of owning my own house, custom designed for me and in harmony with nature. I grew up in a poor household on food stamps and welfare and only since watching "The Secret" in 2007 have I learned about the Law of Attraction and positive intention, ... that the first step to achieving your goal is to BELIEVE that you can! I hope to change the world and influence my friends and relatives for the better by showing that is totally possible to own a home that is conducive to health and respectful of mother nature. Please help me realize my dream! Any contribution, no matter how large or how small is appreciated! :-)
