Shelly Froehlich hasn't added a story.

Two days ago a taxi cab driver was routed past this 5 or 6 year old female rottweiler who was laying on a sidewalk in Phoenix. People who were walking down the side walk were stepping over her. When she saw the growth coming from this girl's belly she was horrified and could not understand how so many people could just look the other way without even offering the dog a drink of water. The cab driver pulled over to investigate what she was seeing from a far and to see if she could help. There were some people sitting out in front of a house, and she asked them if they could possibly bring out a bowl of water for her. Someone within the group finally said after she had asked a couple of times, that they didn't have a bowl!! Can you imagine! This beautiful rottweiler laid on the sidewalk just waiting to die because nobody had the time to love her or take care of her. The cab driver wasn't sure what to do with her. She lives in a studio apartment and already has a small breed dog, but leaving her there to die was not an option either.. So she took her home and fed and hydrated her, and most importantly LOVED her. She started doing a lot better. The cab driver would keep her forever if she could, but a studio apartment is no place for a rottweiler, and she knows this. She called Rotten Rottie Rescue and explained the situation. We didn't realize the magnitude of the size of the tumor until we saw pictures of it. Our jaw hit the floor when we saw this. The cab driver took her to a vet today, and we got an estimate to have what looks like an alien removed from her belly. The vet gave us an estimate of $350 plus $200 to send it to pathology to find out what the hell it is. Rotten Rottie Rescue is kinda stuck in a bad situation. We are still in debt for the surgery that Tatum needed so that his leg didn't have to amputated, and we can not go any further into debt before that is paid in full. We still owe over $1000 for Tatum. We were hoping that you may be able to sponsor this rottweiler, who we have named Sally, so that we can help her by removing this extremely gross tumor from her belly. It must be so painful for her to carry it around with her. Had the owners of Sally spayed her on or near 5 months of age, this most likely would have never developed. This is just one more reason to spay your dog! Now I know that everybody likes to use the chipin in link when helping the animals, but did you know that they take 10% of your donation? In addition, Paypal also takes another 3% of your donation. I would like to see if its easy enough to go to our website here http://www.rottenrottie.com/Blank.html and just click on the donate button and that way we will get more of the money that you are offering to help Sally. Every little bit helps! No donation is too small. For thos of you who find difficultie going through our website, we have set up this chip in account to make it easier. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Maybe you can donate in an animal's name as a christmas gift for their owner. I know that I would be thrilled if someone gave me that as a gift this Christmas! Merry Christmas! I hope Sally can spend this Christmas without the pain of this tumor hanging from her! Please let us know if you have any questions.
