Help Me Bring EverNear to Life

My name is Mike, and EverNear started during one of the hardest periods of my life.

Everything I had built seemed to fall apart at once. My marriage ended, I left the family home, my business and financial situation collapsed, and I found myself starting again with very little.

I am currently sleeping in my parents’ dining room or sofa surfing, trying to rebuild my life while dealing with stress, intrusive thoughts and the feeling that I had lost almost everything.

I was just trying to work out how to start again.

Then I met someone.

The only problem was that she lived thousands of miles away.

As our relationship grew, I experienced all the challenges that come with loving someone in another country. The time difference. The countdowns. The flights. The photos. The messages. The important dates. The memories. The hope of building a future together while living far apart.

But our story was scattered everywhere.

Messages were in WhatsApp. Photos were on our phones. Flights were in airline apps. Hotel bookings were in emails. Important dates were in calendars. Documents were stored in different places.

Then, when we needed to show the history of our relationship for immigration purposes, I had to manually put together around 65 pages documenting our relationship.

That was the moment the idea became clear:

Why is there not one private place where a couple can keep their story as they are living it?

That question became EverNear.

What Is EverNear?

EverNear is being designed as a private digital home for couples.

One place to stay connected, remember important moments, organise your relationship, plan your future and build your story together.

It was inspired by my own long-distance international relationship, but the idea is much bigger than that.

EverNear is for couples who live in different countries, couples who are separated by distance, and couples who simply want one place to keep their memories, dates, plans and relationship history together.

EverNear is built around one simple idea:

Every Couple. Every Moment. Closer Together.

Where We Are Now

Over the past months, I have developed the EverNear concept, brand, feature plans, user journeys, interface ideas, business model and wider product vision.

Most importantly, we have now signed an agreement with a professional app development company to begin building EverNear.

Development is now starting.

Our current target is to have the first working version within approximately eight weeks, followed by testing, refinement and launch preparation. Our aim is to launch EverNear publicly on 1 January 2027, although software development can sometimes uncover issues that affect timelines.

I would rather build it properly than rush something out before it is ready.

Why I Am Fundraising

I am not a large technology company with investors and millions behind me.

I am someone who had to start again, found an idea through my own relationship, and has worked to turn that idea into something real.

I have put in what I can to develop the concept, create the brand, plan the product and get EverNear to the point where professional development can begin.

Now I am asking for help to move it forward.

Funds raised will help support:

• App development and engineering

• Backend systems and hosting

• UI and UX refinement

• Testing and bug fixing

• Privacy and security work

• Software, technical services and launch preparation

The first goal is to build the core EverNear platform properly.

That means accounts, connecting two partners, the main dashboard, important dates, countdowns, initial communication, EverTouch and the technical foundation needed to grow the app over time.

Once that foundation is working, more features can be added step by step.

Why This Matters To Me

EverNear began because I was trying to solve a real problem in my own life.

When you are in a long-distance relationship, especially across countries, the small things matter.

A message matters. A countdown matters. A photo matters. A flight booking matters. A memory matters.

All those little moments become the story of two people trying to build something together.

For me personally, EverNear also represents something bigger.

It is part of rebuilding my life.

It is the chance to take something that came from a difficult period and turn it into something positive, useful and meaningful for other couples.

If EverNear succeeds, it could help couples stay connected, preserve their memories and organise their future together.

It could also give me the opportunity to build a more flexible future and spend more time with the person who inspired the idea in the first place.

That would bring the story full circle.
