Writing this post takes an incredible amount of courage for me. Honestly I never imagined I would ever create a fundraising campaign for something like this. For a long time, I questioned whether I’m even allowed to ask for help, whether my struggles are “important enough” or if I’m making myself vulnerable by sharing this. It feels very uncomfortable to ask for support because I never want to be a burden to anyone. But after many years, I’ve come to realize that I can no longer see a way to make this wish come true on my own.

Since my school years, I have struggled deeply with my appearance, especially my nose. Back then, I was repeatedly bullied because of how I looked. Words, looks, and situations that others may have long forgotten have stayed with me and left deep emotional scars. During a time in life when self-confidence should develop, I instead grew up with strong insecurity. These experiences hurt me deeply and still shape how I see myself today.

For me, my nose is not just a small physical detail. It has become a constant thought that follows me every single day. When I pass people outside, I automatically look down at the ground or deliberately turn my head away so nobody sees my side profile. I avoid photos and even mirrors whenever possible. There is not a single day where I don’t think about it or feel uncomfortable because of it. This feeling is always present and takes away a significant part of my quality of life.

I understand that many people view cosmetic surgery critically and I truly respect that perspective. But for me, this is not about perfection or trying to meet unrealistic beauty standards. I simply wish to stop hiding and finally feel safer and more comfortable in my own body.

I have been in therapy for six years and am actively working on my mental health. At the moment, I am unable to work due to psychological challenges and therefore have no personal income. I am trying step by step to rebuild stability and hopefully live a more normal life again someday. However, this issue has remained a heavy emotional burden for years and has not changed despite all the work I am doing on myself.

Even though I am very afraid of needles, surgery, anesthesia, and pain, I would take this step immediately. The wish for this change has been with me for more than seven years and is something I have thought about very carefully. After extensive research, I contacted a specialized clinic whose reviews and results give me a strong sense of trust and safety. Trust is incredibly important to me when it comes to a procedure involving my face.

I am fully aware that the cost of €8,080 is an enormous amount of money and honestly, I had expected it to be much less at first. Still, I consciously decided to trust an experienced clinic, take positive reviews seriously, and not compromise when it comes to such a sensitive procedure. This is not about luxury for me, but about a decision that could significantly impact the rest of my life.

Since I currently have no income at all, reaching this amount on my own is impossible. That is why I am overcoming a great deal of shame by asking for support here. Every small contribution or even sharing this campaign would help me move one step closer to my goal.

My biggest hope is simply to one day walk forward without fear, without constantly thinking about how I look. Maybe this change could help me finally develop a basic sense of self-confidence and support the progress I’m making in therapy, allowing me to participate in life more freely again.
