Hi, my name is Katie, I’m a 17 year old student from the Czech Republic, and I’m working toward my biggest dream: an exchange year in the United States 🇺🇸.

An exchange year would be a truly life-changing opportunity for me: to study at an American high school, improve my English, experience a new culture, and grow both academically and personally.

I applied for a scholarship multiple times but wasn’t successful. Still, giving up has never been an option for me. Since I turn 18 next year, the 2026/27 school year is my last chance to take part in an exchange program.

The total cost of the exchange year is approximately $14,000–$15,000. Through savings and support from my family, I’ve already managed to cover about $10,000. I am now raising the remaining $3,000–$5,000 to help cover essential expenses related to the exchange year.
