In October 2024, my husband Warlito Casimina, Jr. was diagnosed with PULMONARY CARCINOMA STAGE IV PROBABLY WITH BONE METASTASIS, a devastating news that greatly affected his life and our family. It caused him unbearable pain since it damage his third and fourth ribs. Since then, he has undergone multiple lab tests from X-rays to CT scans, and MRIs, making frequent hospital visits in hopes of getting the right treatment.
In November 2024, doctors advised him to undergo a ct-guided biopsy to determine the best course of treatment. Sadly, due to our financial struggles, the procedure could not be carried out, leaving his condition untreated.
My husband earned a living as a motorcycle driver, however, due to his current condition, he can no longer work, worsening our financial struggles. We have three children—one in elementary school, one in high school, and one who had to drop out of college to work as a service crew to help support our family. Meanwhile, I worked as a call center agent, but my income barely covers our basic needs, let alone the mounting medical expenses of my husband.
Since a definitive diagnosis of the lung tumor has not yet been established, the doctor prescribed him morphine to manage the pain. Initially, he was prescribed to take it every six hours; however, the dosage was later adjusted to every four hours, with an additional rescue dose allowed whenever the pain becomes unbearable.
Despite this, the morphine is becoming less effective, and the pain persists, leaving him in constant discomfort. The medication has also affected his appetite, further weakening his body. It is heartbreaking to see my husband endure such intense pain and sleep difficulty due to the severe pressure in his chest and back.
Our situation worsened, leaving us with no choice but to seek further medical help. In January 2025, our family decided to admit him to Davao Regional Medical Center (DRMC) in Tagum City, where he was found with a MALIGNANT PERIPHERAL NERVE SHEATH TUMOR in addition to his existing PULMONARY CARCINOMA. After 3 weeks of stay in DRMC, he was then referred to Southern Philippines Medical Center (SPMC) in Davao City for the urgent removal of the spinal tumor.
On February 28, 2025 he underwent a neurological assessment and was advised to have a new MRI for comparison to track the tumor’s progress. We received the MRI results last March 16, 2025, and he was scheduled for a follow-up with the neurologist to evaluate the results and determine the timing for his operation. We were then told by the neurologist that the tumor is aggressive and progressive, advising us to proceed with an operation as soon as possible.
I am here to ask for your support to help my husband Warlito fight this difficult battle. Any donation—big or small—will make a meaningful difference in ensuring he gets the urgent medical care he desperately needs.
Please share, donate, and keep Warlito in your prayers. Your generosity and support can give him a real fighting chance.
Your generosity and kindness will not only ease our financial difficulty but will also give hope to my partner to fight for a normal life.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to thank you in advance for your help.
