My partner has recently been diagnosed with severe tuberculosis, combined with existing health challenges with an HIV level of 4/5, which has left us facing immense medical and financial burdens and urgently needed funds €50,000 ($43,634) to cover crucial expenses, including a refrigerator, daily transportation for medical treatment, and essential nutrition.

Aside from his illness and weakness, he has lost almost 25 kilos in about four months and suffers from what are considered typical symptoms such as fever, chills, rash, night sweats, joint and muscle pain, sore throat, fatigue, headache, tiredness, risk of receiving gastroenteritis, in the mouth, rashes, nausea, vomiting, anguish and suffering tremendous depression full of negativity. Although he tries to maintain a positive attitude, we thank God because the assigned doctor sees a promising future for him, although the road is long and takes time. The doctor said it's great that I'm going to visit him as much as possible, which may help his mood and reduce his depression, and the body will be able to respond better to the intense treatment it must endure. 

He needs his own space and things not to infect the rest of the family, especially the children. They have had to change one bedroom into two and a tiny bathroom (not yet ready) just for him. It has cost a lot, but with the help of some friends and family who live outside the country and a little bit from me, we reached almost €3,000, which covered the start, but there is still a long way to go. His health system only covers his essential treatment.

But many other things are needed and must be done. My partner needs protein shakes to gain weight, muscle mass, and good nutrition. But when he showed me his refrigerator. The old one doesn't cool enough, and they use a tension spring to stay closed. But, although they try only to buy small quantities so that nothing goes wasted, some things spoil faster than others, especially with the climate they have. A refrigerator is urgently needed as two family members already had food poisoning. As the long way has just begun, it isn't easy to know how many costs may arise during that road to the end. We have made estimates apart from the treatment, and we think it is necessary to try to raise at least €50,000. ($43,634) and with God's 🙏 help and our fingers 🤞 crossed, we hope to reach the goal soon.
