Sean' Birthday Gift

How are you? I spent Sean's birthday here in B.C. learning how to properly set up and record vocals on my own and then sent them on to my producer in Ontario.

The benefit record vocals at home is that I was able to take the time to make improvements to the lyrics and delivery of the lines as I was inspired to do so.
I'm really thankful for my wife who is a great sounding board. 
This Birthday Version will hopefully be the first of a series as it's important to include the names of more loved one's needle-ssly lost.

If you don't hear your loved one in this first project know they are not forgotten. My producer had me keep this first song down to a more manageable size under a short time frame and within budget.

I gave it my all with what I have to give at this time and I hope you will like it. Sudden Death Overtime (Sean's Story) is my gift to Sean, Dan and families of our growing winning team effort!

Sean's Song Progress 2

Last night after an encouraging donation of $100 I worked to midnight to get what I call the the pre-production puzzle pieces to my producer for Monday morning.

I awoke before 6 a.m. in B.C. and this was his reply from Ontario:

Hi John,

Thanks for this, what a special song and a beautiful way to commemorate lost loved-ones.

I will begin piecing it all together this week. Am I right you hope to release it on 31st?

It has been my hope to at least have a [Birthday Version] released for Sean’s birth date of January 31st. We will give our all and have something ready for you to hear by then.

(I will give more detail and updates on the project going forward in short notes to Fundraizrs who included their address when they donate to the project.)

I leave you with a home produced, spoken word piece I wrote one weekend morning this past fall when I woke up thinking of Dan and Sean's empty room. Give vivid a pet will you and give your loved one's a hug.

Held Over to Sean's Birth Date

Thank you to all who've given so far. I set the Fundrazr for 30 days but it kept going so I decided to keep it open until January 31st Sean's birth date. I will be focusing on writing and getting the music produced to be release in time for that.

Sunday night I was offered a seasonal job salting once a week when needed and did so the other night which should cover my own financial donation I made towards what is now a song and spoken word project.

Six Feet is the working title of the song as I am in the process of rewriting it to make it as universal and powerful as I possibly can.

I am open to input and featuring other artists.


Before launching this fundrazr I asked Dan, Sean's Dad's permission..
And later I reached out to Ernesto's Dad to ask about including his son in this project..

I am open to including the name's and stories of others young people needle-ssly taken from us.
