Hi everyone, 

My name is Alisha, I have started this fundraiser for my mother, Tina. It has been a very rough year emotionally and financially for her. 

Last month my father was admitted into the hospital. When he arrived he was confused, his oxygen levels were low, and his CO2 was through the roof. After over a week in the hospital, they fixed his oxygen issue and sent him on his way with a new oxygen machine. His confusion got worse the next day and he had to be brought back to the hospital. After about another week in the hospital, they figured out that he had a stroke.

At the same time, her sister was losing her battle with cancer. My mother opted to work overnight so that she could be there for her sister, her husband, her kids, and her job. Between the emotional distress and the lack of sleep she found it hard to work as often as needed to keep finances stable. Not only has she been put into a position where she is working less, she will also have to pay the medical bills that have ensued from my fathers stay at the hospital. 

My mother is the biggest giver I know. She has been working at the same nursing home for over 30 years, she helps her family whenever she can, and she has just always been a light in anyone's life who knows her. Anyone who knows my mom knows she would do anything to help anyone. Now she needs your help. If you're able to send any monetary support, we would be so appreciative. My mom works so hard to support her kids and her family, she deserves to have this huge weight lifted off of her shoulders. 

Luckily, my father is on the road to (hopefully full) recovery. As of right now, he is still in the hospital, undergoing a few more tests and starting preventative care.  Again, anything that you can donate towards his hospital bills will be forever appreciated.
