Hi,

My name is Edouard Drolet. I am a parent of two talented skiers in the Blackjack cross country ski race team, in Rossland, British Columbia.

Our team is small in numbers but we have a high level of commitment which translates in a high rate of success. This success is partly due to extensive training but also to the fact that we have a highly qualified coach and very dedicated, mostly volunteered, support people.

Training to win means long hours and a year long commitment to the sport. No one will get to the national or international levels by training just now and then. Athletes and staff need to be focused and work together to achieve this high level.

All this hard work does not come free. And as in most sectors, fees and other costs keep increasing.

As these costs keep pushing up, it is increasingly difficult for parents to keep up to them. And now, this program as a whole is at risk of being terminated.

It is my hope that you could contribute in any way that you can to help us keep this program alive. No donation is too small. And if you agree to help, please let others know that could also contribute.

All funds raised will be allocated to the Black Jack Skier Development Program.
