I've been battling cancer for a while now, and it has been coming
back and hitting me harder. I did everything I could to get financial
help, applied for SSI and got denied due to my college degree and
certifications. Recently, my medical insurance has been denying tests,
lab work and aids that I need and due to my medical condition and
because I'm considered disabled I can't work. On Monday, January 25,
my doctor told me that there wasn't anything he could do anymore, so
he advised me to be happy and to just live it up. On Tuesday, I was
rushed to the ER because of the pain I couldn't handle-- even after
taking a high dose of my daily pain killers at home. At the hospital,
it was kind of bizarre, my body started to reject the IV and there
too, the ER doctor told me there is nothing more we can do. Basically,
cancer took over my body, and left me with more terminal illnesses and
diseases and my medical insurance isn't helping me at all. As of
today, I am now suffering from, 1. Rapid Weight Loss
2. Chronic
Pain & Fatigue
3. Adenocarcinoma of right lung
4.
Carcinoma in situ of uterine cervix/ Malignant Neoplasm
5.
Chronic Migraine
6. Myocardial infarction (2011)
7.
Chronic depression
8. Generalized anxiety disorder
9.
Polyneuropathy due to Toxic Agents
10. Fibromyaligia & Polymyocitis
This is an ongoing battle, getting worse and worse. I'm on a breathing machine every 4 hours and I'm starting to lose faith. Its so painful and I wouldn't wish this upon anyone. One of the hardest thing about this? Is telling my 8 year old daughter that the doctors and specialists that she has been relying on? Can no longer help me. I lose feeling from my hips down often due to the diseases that I am enduring and my medical insurance is forcing me to pay out of pocket. I also got denied for MRI's four times since October of 2015. I am in major pain and going through financial hardship as well. Everyone knows me as such a strong person, but to be honest-- this is killing me literally. I've been walking on a broken foot for the past 3 weeks now because my specialist won't do the surgery because he knows that I won't make it. And my medical won't cover a wheelchair for me, not even a walker to help take weight off of my foot.
The quality of my life is deteriorating and even if I was allowed to work? All this pain and my health will get me fired. I thought about being an exotic dancer again, but I can barely sit or stand in the same place for longer than 5 minutes without losing feeling in my legs and not being in tremendous pain. But financially dancing is my last resort for me to be able to afford the proper medical care and aids I need.
I really didn't want to ask for donations, because of those who bad mouthed my first GoFund me- but this is really my last resort. Every single thing that anyone needs in their lives cost money- from food, to shelter, gas, clothes, etc. It's been such a struggle I even started selling things on an app called OfferUp just in case I'm down to $0. I already have thousands in debt, alongside bills that I have to pay for monthly already. My family can't afford all these extra medical expenses. Due to my medical insurance denying tests, MRIs and CT scans-- we have no idea how rapid my cancer is spreading, or how damaged my insides are- but by the way my body feels and looking pale everyday? I need as much help as I can get- whether it's to partially cover just 1 MRI- which costs about $25,000 or some money to let me enjoy the time that I have with my family while I can, or take away that extra stress for a bill. Anything will help, BUTYou're not obligated either. So pretty please- please keep your negativity to yourself because it's happened before and I really don't need any of that right now.
This past week was the worst I have felt since my 9 month chemotherapy treatments rounds that I had done in 2008.
