Weddings are a beautiful, tremendously important affair in any couple’s life together, and right now I am planning ours. My name is Emily Aleine and my wonderful fiancé Austin and I are currently raising the money to help pay for our wedding and reception. We don’t want anything too fancy as we are both pretty young, but we want this to be special—we have our budget for the event set at $5,000, and any little bit will be a huge help to getting everything together.

Austin and I met at a local concert some time back, and then re-met at Anime Week in Atlanta and fell head-over-heels in love with one another. Austin comes from a very un-traditional background, and spent a good portion of his young life homeless; he now has a great job and bright future ahead of him, and he has made the decision to bring me into it, forever. Because I am a full-time student and only work part-time on minimum wage, there is little financial help that I can offer him towards the cost of the ceremony and the reception, but we are both doing all that we can. We still have to formally announce our intentions to our families, but are expecting that we will not receive a ton of help from them as they all have their own families and concerns.

Any small amount you can donate will go a long way to making our dream of a life together will be greatly appreciated. We don’t need anything elaborate: we want a small ceremony with a reception large enough that all of our friends and family who want to attend can, and we want to be able to dance together as husband and wife on our wedding day.
