Hello everyone,

My name is Alhassane. I am 27 years old, and today 1 am going through what is probably the most difficult period of my life. I think I just lost the fight against life.

I have always been a hardworking person. I have a master's degree and several professional certifications. I have always tried to do things the right way, work honestly, follow the rules, and build a better future for myself and my family. I don't drink alcohol, I don't use drugs, and I have never run away from my responsibilities.

But since losing my job about a year ago (for speaking up about my working conditions), my life has slowly fallen apart.

Despite my education, professional experience, and countless job applications, I have not been able to find a descent-paying job despite submitting hundreds of applications. I'm since working at a small Subway restaurant for minimum wage, under extremely difficult working conditions.

Today, my wife is pregnant with a high-risk pregnancy that requires medical care and tests that are not covered; my rent is seriously overdue, and I am facing the possibility of losing my home. I just received a notice that my electricity will be shut down on September 10 unless I make a minimum payment of $3,000 CAD, which I don't have. Other essential bills are also piling up. My mother, whose rent I used to pay, has already been evicted from her home because I could no longer afford the rent. 

What hurts me the most is not even what I am going through personally. It is watching my wife struggle to eat and with her health while I feel powerless to provide the stability and peace she deserves. At a time when I should be preparing for our future and taking care of my growing family, I find myself constantly worrying about rent, bills, food, and basic necessities. I never imagined my life would reach this point.

I am not lazy, and I am not looking for an easy way out. I have always worked hard and tried to build something meaningful with my life. I am actively looking for work while also trying to build my own professional projects in the hope of creating a better future for my family.

But the truth is, I have reached a point where I can no longer carry everything anymore. With a lot of humility, ! am asking for help. I'm just looking for enough to catch up on overdue rent and avoid losing our home; pay my electricity bills; and properly feed my pregnant wife. Just the chance to regain financial stability and get back on my feet. I don't expect anyone to solve my problems for me. I am simply asking for a chance to breathe, recover, and rebuild my life.
