I Am One of the Lucky Ones.

Because I have her.

There is a universe around which my entire world revolves.

That universe is her.

The woman who taught me what love truly means.

What it means to live.

What it means to walk through life with your head held high, even when life gives you every reason to lower it.

She is the woman who turned my darkness into light.

The woman who showed me that love isn't something you simply say...

it's something you choose, every single day.

Life hasn't always been kind to her.
It tested her.
It challenged her.
It gave her countless reasons to stop believing.
But she chose something else.
She chose kindness.
She chose hope.
She chose to remain light, even during her darkest days.
That is who she is.
And if you've ever met someone like that...
you know how rare they are.

The Woman Everyone Remembers

Anyone who has the privilege of knowing Ksenija is one of the lucky ones.

Not because she tries to change people...

but because she reminds them that goodness still exists.

People leave her company carrying something they didn't have before.

A smile.

Hope.

Peace.

And that is a gift.

Why I'm Writing This

So why am I writing this?
Not because she asked me to.
She never would.
I'm writing because this time...
I can't do it alone.
Not because she expects anything.

But because I want to give something back to the woman who has spent a lifetime giving herself to everyone else.

This year she turns fifty.

Just a few weeks later, we'll celebrate our very first wedding anniversary.

Two moments that will never happen again.

For years I kept telling myself what so many of us do.

"Maybe next year."

"When life is easier."

"When we have more money."

"When the timing is finally right."

Then one day I realised something.

I refuse to let difficult times choose our memories for us.

Because life doesn't wait.

Birthdays don't wait.

Love doesn't wait.

Neither should we.

This isn't really about a birthday.

Or an anniversary.

It's about refusing to postpone the moments that matter most.

It's about choosing memories over fear.

Love over waiting.

Today over someday.
