Fundraiser for Christy Sweet’s   Legal Struggle to Claim an Inheritance,  And Support for a  Pony and Cat  Sanctuary

Please    donate   via  PAYPAL  to SidSinatra (at) AOL.com  as   I cannot link my Thai bank account  to  Pay Pal and so cannot get funds -   or  use Payoneer or   WISE transfer to ChristyKSweet (at) GMail.com

EDIT 04 01 23  Stable fell down last night , it is  unbelievable how it fell,  ( see pics ) missing Pony boy by inches  but now it wil take at least $500 in materials, including  16 posts and  framing wood  and new tin roofing and labor to replace it completely. Rainy season  is coming very soon  and the ponies have tohave a shelter - for once it's a good thing I am out of hay and only had a bale of straw  to deal with.

WHY  I AM ASKING FOR HELP  My informal  Phuket Horse Rescue and Bang Tao Cat Preserve located  in  Phuket, Thailand   depended on a $6000 a year stipend from  a family fund that evaporated   when my Mom died in  2020 and her Las Vegas  Nevada  estate is still  in probate  hell-court- limbo  32 months now pending appeals which can be viewed as  Docket # 83342  in the Nevada State Supreme Court website.

The estate battle was with Mom’s husband   but he too has   just passed last  January reportedly  also without a valid US will,   and I need to  procure a will he made in Portugal  that disposes of a condo there.  It could be  possibly applied  to  his USA assets- and if he prevails in the court case he will get the total of Mom's estate   but his will names me as an heir.  I  could not write this  in a script and sell it. It’s a big double- probate hellscape.

I am also suing the cruddy lawyers who tanked the case AND mom's husband  ( now his estate) for wrongful death, all on my own. I want to file in US District Court against the probate commissioner who  violated the 14th Amendment in denying me due process.

I simply  do not have the funds to travel to Las Vegas  where  the home and probate are  located. Nor should  I necessarily for I do not have access to her house as of yet, and may never -  and have no money for a motel.

More importantly is  I  have no one I can trust  who is competent AND reliable  to care for the ponies and cats and the eccentricities of the property  and house  for the weeks  or months  all this paper chase  might  take.   Las Vegas has  ONE probate Commissioner and it takes months. (Clark County has an operating budget of $1.3 billion USD )  so I really should just stay where I have a  safe home.

Who knows, Probate  in Las Vegas might be the sort of hole in a desert type of justice one sees in movies. It can all be online anyway IF I can find reliable people in Las Vegas, so looking for a home manager.

I charge  her husband  defrauded the Court in a criminal conspiracy and CHANGED a FOREIGN  WILL’s translation   that was only meant to apply 'in Portugal'   I am involved now in three  lawsuits including a wrongful death lawsuit against Mom’s husband. I am pro se, self-representing except for the Supreme Court Review #83342 which has appointed pro bono attorneys. Everyting pivots on that decision.

There is a condo in Portugal I am named  in both Mom's and her husband's PORTUGUESE  wills.  But, getting her husband's hard copy Death Certificate from Nevada will be expensive,  involving  proving family connection, etc. , and the accompanying  required ‘Apostille’ certification  insignia,  certified  translations,  , to just get the original will  copied  and the  registered mailings  to and fro to Portugal and pay a lawyer to just begin searching for his will   is going to   take  $500  at least.

Fortunately I qualify for fee waivers in the Nevada  Court System- and I enterd  his estate into Probate,-  making poverty work for me !!

It takes $350  a month to run the sanctuary, see  Facebook.com/PhuketHorseRescue   and FB/ BangTaoCats. Two ponies and 18 cats. The property is a caretaking situation,   so pay I no  rent but need cat  food,  horse feed, hay, straw, supplies, medications, fencing repairs, vet care,   etc. and does not include   my  personal living expenses which are very low  about $250. I pay $14 for electric and about $40 for phone and internet  which is a great deal.

Meanwhile I do all the  chores with the ponies, cats, the home and the 2 acre property.  I do my own cooking,   cleaning and laundry. I have not eaten a fancy restaurant meal since about 2016.   Netflix at $ 6  a month (cheap living in Thailand)  is my one  splurge and entertainment.

I can be contacted  at ChristyKSweet@Gmail.com    My phone is ( 66) 94 807 0376   and  I am on Facebook as ChristySweet.18  but I find messenger there is unreliable   I can take  PAy Pal,  Wise  or Payoneer  transfers  to the above  email.

 ABOUT  THE PONIES

Pony- Boy, ( yes,  an ode to S.E. Hinton,  about 17 yo   is a pure ' Thai Breed' pony, obviously his heritage is the Mongolian Pony of the north Asian steppes.  He is  very stout but has IR and issues  with laminitus, aka hoof  degradation. As long as he is managed and not allowed to gorge on green grass ( which is not very good for horses actually,) he   does fine.

Lamburg in the stable,  really just a shelter that  is long past its  sell by date on it’s third leaning migration to the north  and needs  replacing which will  take  at least $500  but is not a priority  now - still can be propped up.   I store the hay and straw there too.

I was tutoring English online, a part time job that evaporated in 2020 from the Covid  downturn and influx of  over- qualified tutors.  Thailand prohibiting foreigners from being paid by  Pay Pal as of last December  is very prohibitive in finding online work,  most of  which now pays on a third world scale   like less than $1  an hour.

While I have a TESOL Certificate, am skilled in  English and taught horse riding,  I have no degrees and Americans in Thailand have a minimum salary requirement of 55, 000 baht a month  to obtain a work permit. I am NOT  going to work illegally as incarceration is immediate,  deportation  is swift,  personal belonging are confiscated  and  the ponies would go  to the local  BBQ  restaurant.   No one is going to pay a 62  yo woman in a country where it is legal  to stipulate age restrictions  ‘ female, not over 35… picture needed’  for applications.

Lamburg is 27  and is  half Thai Breed / Thoroughbred.  Long legs and short neck shows  his mixed heritage. Lambsies ( Lamburger when he is bad) has COPD and so needs strict  dust management. He also has a penchant  for biting so  is    not  a good candidate for  adoption. Territorial in his shelter, he’s a dream to lead and was quite reliable as a beginner rider pony for lesson, he’s 13. 2 hands so his  weight limit is 60 kilos and he only accepts bitless bridle and of course is barefoot.  No metal on  horses please .  I have brought him out of a home once already in 2017 as they simply did not see to his dust abatement  needs which  essentially requires just  dunking his hay in water and not sweeping around him. And he’s allergic to bananas which is NOT appropriate food for equids

Lamburg worked hard at a beach-ride  rental place for his first 12 years so as long as I can reside  on the property  I am happy to care for him  as we  grow old together.

  Thank you for reading
