Let's give Cielo Some Support!

My dear friend and jungle sister Cielo has been diagnosed with Myelodysplastic Syndrome. Her bone marrow is not producing red blood cells and she has been having blood transfusions every two weeks. At the end of March she will be traveling to Australia where she can receive treatment. She will need to be gone for 6 months from her beautiful Amazon home and retreat center. For many many years Cielo has been supporting hundreds of beings in their healing work with Ayahuasca at Casa de la Madre and she supports many indigenous healers from Peru and Brazil and her local Pucallpa community. Cielo will need some financial support to fly to Australia and to support her community, retreat center and home in the jungle while she is away. So many of you have had your lives touched by this amazing being for the better. I am honored to offer her my support now in this healing journey. Hello to all my tribe!

Yesterday I received some pretty heavy news. I have an illness called Myelodysplastic Syndrome. My bone marrow is not producing red blood cells and I have been having blood transfusions around every 2 weeks since January to keep me going until we could find out what was wrong.

I started to feel sick around October and by end of December I could barely function, so started investigating through main stream medicine.

Here in Pucallpa the resources are limited as is the quality and range of specialists and advanced laboratory practises. It was suggested I go to Lima and find a hematologist, as there are none here. So I went for around 16 days alone and sourced a clinic with a hematologist. While it was expensive, it was also the best Lima had.

After extensive testing of my blood that had no clear results, they did a bone marrow aspiration and biopsy. This showed that my bone marrow is not producing red blood cells and I need specialized treatment before it turns into full blown leucemia.

As I do not have medical insurance here the and the costs are so prohibative I will be returning to Australia to get the best treatment with little cost, as our country has a great health care system. The bone marrow test here was almost $1k here in Australia it would be free.

While I am away my beautiful healing center will still be running and will be managed by my increíble team here along with trained facilitators that are experienced not only with the medicine work, but also with our special way of sharing as a family with absolute love and attention.
My Peruvian team Kelly, Wikle have been with us for 10 years and know exactly what is needed to make our guests comfortable, welcome and cared for. My shipibo shamanic family also has been here for a long time and are dedicated and focused on their work with our guests.

So I will take some personal time to heal and return once again powerful and focused on your healing. I will still be managing from afar, albiet online, and still be available to chat via whatsapp to assist guests with their choices and to address any concerns they may have. Though here at the center I am confident that our facilitators, staff and maestros will be able to guide you through your healing process.

I will see you on the other side of this illness. I am a warrior and have withstood so many challenges in my life before this and will prevail. I created this beautiful loving center from nothing but dreams and guidance from spirit. It is my life's work.
