I am a research analyst/author who is cat crazy! My door is open to many strays in the Riverside area where I live. Some come and go. Four official plus one in the making have chosen me to care for them. But, this year has been especially rough on my Skinny Diva.
First, let me address the elephant in the room. My profile says, "Keep it all" because I will be charging a newly issued Credit Care card pending receipt of card. ALL donations will go to pay down the card or reimburse for paid veterinary items.
Second but most importantly, Skinny chose me in May 2012 after six months of hiding underneath the house I rented on the southside of Jacksonville, FL. It took a torrential downpour flooding her hidey places to get her to finally come in and stay. She followed me across the St. John's River where this girly boop continues to give me hope and encouragement through her wonderful connection with me. Your help will keep us and her siblings together in a safe and familiar environment to achieve the best possible health outcomes for all.

Skinny and sibling male kitty details:
Skinny Diva has been prescribed a specific food diet including items like Hill Science Diet Prescription r/d Kidney Care which will cost about $53/month. She will also need twice weekly fluid treatments for the next 6 weeks which I will have to administer. I picked up the kit today (11/17/20) and her Azodyl. One follow-up in about 6 weeks with blood work and probably another 500ml of fluid depending on progress.
Mr. Slate had his exam today for eye/ear troubles. He has a lingering ear infection which they cleaned and treated. They also provided a salve for his eyes to limit the impact of dry eye. He is scheduled for a follow-up in about a week.
Slim, a feral who is an on again/off again community cat who interacts with my boops, needs some attention. His list includes neutering, annual with shots, city tag, and blood work for various conditions as he appears to be an older male cat who has lived on the streets for a very long time. I am working on conditioning him to being held for transport to vet and administration of flea meds. My vet suggested that I use a trap and take him to be neutered for free at the No More Homeless Pets. This will save a huge chunk of previously anticipated costs. However, I expect he will need items such as antibiotic, deworming, etc. that are not included in this service.
