I am a native New Yorker, writer and photographer by trade. I have worked in media for Viacom/MTV, in Fashion and Art as contributing editor for a variety of different publications on several different platforms, have been a trend/marketing/fashion consultant for Fashion Forecasting Companies, was half owner of the Electric Supply Company which was a warehouse that me and my partner throygh one off events in, and am now undertaking this endeavor after experiencing a wide spectrum of abuses by a variety of different authorities in the legal system, by government agencies and bureaucracies put in place to aide specific communities and populations, third party organizations and not for profit watch groups, and a variety of medical facilities. These abuses range from a refusal to prosecute after being sexually assaulted, abuse and descrimination during and after recieving treatment for drug abuse(self initiated), a refusal to prosecute ongoing sexual harassment by individuals associated with my rapist, a barring of any and all pertinent information by the HIV/AIDS Resource Administration, violation of due process rights by the district attorney and judges for a variety of cases unrelated to the sexual assault previously mentioned, a denial by the nypd, mental health services, and other agencies of housing descrimination still being recieved for a variety of personal traits ranging from, but not limited to gender identity, sexual orientation, economic status, HIV/AIDS Diagnosis, education, status as a recovering addict, political views, etc. Upon realizing that my rights in many arenas were being violated I started reading through each and every law both for New York State and Federal and realized that my suspicions were true and that there were judicial remedies already in place by both case law and text law that I could put into action. Since then I have recieved death threats, threats of institutionalization, sexual harassment, and the like to a level thats almost unbelievable... Due to the lackof actionby the police it has gotten to the point thatI cannot leave my apartment without being so widely harassed that all of my family and friends who agree with me have backed off and either cut off or restricted communication with me. I have just recently won my first case representing myself pro se so I am now confident in going full speed ahead with this endeavor and need help covering the initial court costs until I recieve my first awards to put into funding the organization based on social activism through judicial intervention, now tentatively call The Legal Activism Project.
