My name is Richard Salzman. I am the host and lead organizer of this Annual Community Gathering and Cookout at Pamplin Grove.

These annual gatherings have no political agenda, lectures or workshops; it is however, my belief that events such as this do strengthen the fabric of our community and allow for the exchange of ideas as to how we can better our lives, ...though my primary objective here is to simply create an environment that allows for the utter enjoyment of all who attend!

Friends, family, neighbors and well behaved dogs are all welcome and the only requirement is that you RSVP in advance with a head count and bring something for the potluck dinner served early Sunday evening (this years event will be Sat, Sun and Mon).

While there is never a charge required to attend and I find that everyone contributes something, in one way or another, I do encourage monetary donations from those who are able, to help offset the rental fee for the park. This website is to to facilitate that effort. 

The rental cost for entire campground for three full days and nights including insurance is $1,820.00  (*we have just added Friday the 1st so it's now 4 days brining the total to $2,320.00)

It is my pleasure to provide all of the other supplies for the weekend; but I am hoping that others will help cover the park rental fee.  Everyone is welcome whether or not you can make a monetary donation but for those of you who are able to contribute I thank you in advance!

This Pamplin Grove tradition started in 2004 to celebrate the 61% to 49% landslide defeat of an attempt, funded by Charles Hurwitz’s Maxxam Corporation, to recall our then newly elected District Attorney Paul Gallegos. Our community came together to stand up for “Justice For All” and after the election we rented Pamplin Grove to hold a community celebration of that political victory. Since then I have take it upon myself to make this an annual community gathering.
