This project - 4x4UA - aims to deliver one item that is in short supply and desperately needed in all facets of Ukraine's struggle against the Russian invasion - SUVs with four wheel drive in good working condition. We leverage our presence in Germany to acquire high-quality used vehicles for between €5,000 and €7,000 and rely on trusted, vetted volunteers in Ukraine with contacts the Ukrainian military to make sure they are used to the greatest effect.

Why support us?:

• We contribute to the purchase of every vehicle: We contribute a minimum of €750 to the purchase of each vehicle, often more.
• Zero overhead costs: We identify and deliver vehicles on our expense. We do not use donations to pay for fuel, hotel, transportation or other costs. These are paid out of pocket.
• Vehicles are deployed directly to the front: You won't find our SUVs next to UN vehicles at a ski chalet or riding around the capital. All of our vehicles are used by front line units (with the exception of the ML320, which is used by the police in de-occupied areas).

Important notes:

• Donations with 0% fees: Donating via Fundrazr/Paypal costs fees of 2-4%. Please contact us directly about donating with no fees.
• Fundrazr fees: Fundrazr does not charge a platform fee but has an opt-out for giving a "tip".
• Disclaimer: We are individuals trying to help the Ukrainian military, NOT a registered charity (there are many great charities as well - check out Come Back Alive or Liberty Ukraine Foundation).

Round 8 (March 2024):

We raised a total of €5,925, including our own contribution, and purchased a Hyundai Santa Fe CRDi 4x4 for €4,500. Other costs (insurance, registration, tax, repairs) amounted to around €450. The vehicle was handed over to volunteers in L'viv on March 3, 2024 and has since been transferred to the 114th Brigade of the Territorial Defense Forces, deployed in Donetsk oblast.

The remaining €975 will be carried forward for Round 9.

Round 7 (October 2023):

After raising a total of around €7,000 (including the carryover), we purchased a Mitsubishi Pajero (3 door) diesel and delivered it to L’viv on October 22, 2023). The car was transferred to the 81st Aeromobile Brigade and is currently in service in the Zaporizhzhia region (southern Ukraine).

Round 6 (July 2023) :

After raising a total of around €7,000 (including the carryover), we purchased the following items valued at around €7,400:

• Hyundai Terracan 4x4 diesel
• 2x multichargers for DJI Mavic 3 (request from the DPSU unit receiving the Terracan)
• 2x FPV goggles (donation 4x4UA team for the project "Victory Drones")
• The 4x4UA team also donated a DJI Mavic 2 Pro drone to the 37th Marine Brigade.

Handover occurred on July 20, 2023 at the Munich airport to one of our Ukrainian friends/partners. The car was handed over to an aerial reconnaissance unit of the State Border Protection Service of Ukraine and is in service.

Round 5 (April 2023):

After closing out €8,559.96 in donations and matching the first €1,000, we procured and delivered the following items for the 67th Mechanized Brigade, deployed near Bakhmut during February-April, worth a total of around €7,900. We carried forward around €1,700 to purchase the next 4x4.

• Nissan Pathfinder 4x4 diesel
• 4x all-weather sleeping bags

The 4x4UA team delivered the Pathfinder to a volunteer supporting the Ukrainian military in Lviv on March 31, 2023. The vehicle was transferred to the brigade the next day.

Round 4 (February 2023):

After closing out €7,383.77 in donations and matching the first €1,000, we procured and delivered the following items for the 114th Territorial Defense brigade, currently deployed in Donetsk oblast, worth a total of around €8,500:

• Hyundai Terracan 4x4 diesel
• 1kw gasoline generator
• 2x Motorola DP4400e encrypted radios
• Care package of foodstuffs and medicine (donated by friends in Munich)

The 4x4UA team delivered the Terracan and equipment to volunteers supporting the Ukrainian military in Lviv on February 11, 2023. All goods were handed over to the unit the next day.

Round 3 (October 2022):

After closing out over €8,800 in donations, with some additional self-financing 4x4UA procured/received the following goods with a total value of around €13,000:

• Mitsubishi Pajero 4x4 diesel (for the 72nd Mechanized Brigade)
• KIA Sorento 4x4 diesel (for air defense unit of the 28th Mechanized Brigade)
• 1kw gasoline generator (for drone team)
• All-weather gear (donated by neighbor)
• Lowa winter boots (for a volunteer combat medic)

The 4x4UA team delivered both SUVs and the gear to volunteers supporting the Ukrainian military in Lviv on October 16, 2022.

Round 2 (July/August 2022):

After closing out €2,500 in donations, 4x4UA procured a Nissan X-Trail, DJI Mavic 2 Pro observation drone, foodstuffs and fuel canisters valued at approximately €7,500.

The 4x4UA team delivered the SUV and gear to a contact supporting the Ukrainian military in Lviv on August 7, 2022. 

Round 1 (April 2022):

Prior to our Fundrazr campaign, we supplied a Mercedes ML320 and assorted gear (all weather shirts, shoes, fuel, tourniquets and rations) with a value of around €5,000. The 4x4UA team delivered the car and goods to the Polish-Ukrainian border on April 16, 2022.
