Dixie is in PAIN and has been neglected of medical treatment for over a year flushed around homes and passed along .With what we believe is epm that she is suffering from squeak larkins has offered to do OZONE treatment on her to save her life and if we raise $300 she will MATCH your donation with another $300! Not only that she will donate a clinical trial of ozone treatments to stranger (another horse that's been here for 2yrs in rehab that is light riding sound due to injury) to see if the treatment can completely heal him too! 

Previously known as "Selena" now known as "Dixie" started over when she stepped off the trailer after being donated to a young teen in our outreach program Immaciated and lame. She was to be a gift to Brittany. A Young teen that has been a part of our Teen Outreach program since Feb the day I found her in tears on my fenceline with this undying passion to be a part of the horses . She suffered from a challenging childhood and rough past and went through things children should never have to go through. Now living with her father and a part of our program now since Feb we sought out the beginning of summer to find her the perfect horse for her to grow with and bond with. She dreams of hitting the trails and going to local shows and building her conifdence up with both horses and people and having a best-friend that will never be taken from her and a bond with something that will never be broken that she could tell her deepest secrets too. We all know horses are "therapy". With that said Dixie was supposed to be this forever gift to a young girl that would treasure her forever. Brittany has been working effortlessly to rehab her gifted horse and Dixie has expressed and shown so much love and dedication in return but unfortunately she lives everyday in pain. We have had to stop the Bute as it's not healthy for her to live on it and we have switched her to "Equipride" . She has gained a considerate amount of weight since being here at our ranch. Currently being fed alfalfa and pelleted feed with her supplements along with green luxious grass turn out. While she will not be the horse brittany needs to forfill her dreams and build her confidence due to her physical disabilities Dixie still needs treatment to help her live pain free. Our aim is to get her sound enough to be a part of a therapeutic program from disabled riders that could enjoy the gift Dixie is as horses like this only come once in a lifetime. Her devoted compassion to humans will bring you to tears. Discovering her past she has been Flushed from home to home and continued and forced to work in the discomfort and pain she is in without any medical attention. Let's show Dixie and let's show Brittany the compassion of our community. Brittany's new mission is to Save Dixie and see her a bright future.
