My Service dog , Sheba, is needing a corrective surgery to fix her recessed vulva. Because of this issue, she has a bad infection which can return without the surgery. My name is Tabitha. Sheba is almost a 2 year old GSD who has saved my life on more than one occasion. Sheba helps control my PTSD symptoms so I can live somewhat of a normal life instead of isolating myself from society. I have also recently been diagnosed with a mental illness. She helps control my anxiety while out, makes sure I get out of bed in the morning, brings me my nightly meds so I don't forget to take them, she will even lead me out of a store if needed. She is the reason why I am still alive. She has given me my life back and I want to help her to have a normal doggie life. I took her to the vet because her vulva area was not normal with a bunch of black tar like substance and her urine was VERY concentrated. I was given an antibotic and wipes to help clean the area. I used the wipes for several days which left the area red, raw, and hurtful for her when used. I notified my vet and was able to receive oral medication for her. She also has crystals in her urine. We are having to clear up the infection before surgery that will correct her vulva. One of my options is to not have the surgery but it is no guarantee she will not have repeat infections. I do not want to put her through this much pain again I am now disabled, unable to work and not been approved for Social Security Disability yet. So far I have spent 0ver $300 dollars for medicine and vet visit.. Money that I really don't have so I am reaching out for help.  I am also trying to get her hips x-rayed while whe will already be under.
